I'm very anxious as it's really helped me. I go everyday but it's only short term and I'll be discharged end of next week.

They said they will set me up with something in the community but it won't be daily. Am afraid of being alone with my thoughts and emotions. I'm hoping there are some groups I can go to run by our local mental health charity Mind.

I'm on my way to a work occupational health meeting and am not ready yet to go back just yet.

I'm so confused and afraid I'll lose my job and husband etc etc

I wish so much I wasn't me right now, I often hate myself and have low confidence.

Thank you, the meeting went ok. Dr thinks I need to be off from work longer and get started in therapy before I go back.

I aim to keep busy. Mind charity have workshops I can attend so I can have a bit of structure in my day.

I will keep praying and try to be mindful as much as I can

I'm glad the meeting wasn't too bad. Having some more time off and starting therapy sounds like a good plan.

I can understand your anxiety about being discharged from day hospital but it's great that you'll still have support, and attending workshops with Mind should be really helpful. Have you learnt any skills as a day patient that might continue to help? Also if there is anything else you enjoy doing but usually don't have time for, now might be a good time to pick it up again.

I hope it all goes as well as possible. Take care of yourself.

Hmm, it may behove you to keep this site or similar up perhaps on your cellphone or whatever device you use. If you work is not too strict about it, you can diffuse here. You know you'll be talking to people that understand (most of your) issues first hand.
Thanks for this!

Thanks guys, its a tough week this week! I am trying to remain mindful lol although I still do get swept up in emotions.

Got appt with Psychologist today with me and my husband to discuss my condition, how he can understand, how he feels as a carer etc and how we can both help me to face my fears and issues and get better.

Yep you guessed it Im terrified of the meeting!

Wow sounds like you have a lot going on. I can sympathize with not wanting to leave the hospital but sadly the day must come.

Though it feels like you're on the right track.

Verity,
How is the mental health care system regarding support for BPD in England? I noticed your profile says you're from the UK. Are there support groups that meet regularly for the disorder? I am from England originally (born in London), although I don't like there now, so I'm generally familiar with how the NHS works. Someone told me there are waiting lists to do DBT or be in therapy groups for BPD, is that right? You may want to do searches online for other private support groups for mental disorders, especially if you are in the greater London area.

Good luck with leaving the hospital and hope you will be able to get enough help going forward.

Yes there are DBT groups local to me. I'm being referred but not yet sure of waiting list. The psychologist said I should be able to start the group sessions fairly soon.
