Today after DBT I had a pdoc appointment, I was at the hospital from 9-2 so it was a long day. No changes in meds. He was surprised the mirtazapine does not make me tired. I told him about the big panic attack at church and he said the only way I am going to get over it is to keep going into those types of situations. I get where he is coming from but it is still difficult. He had a different med student today with him. Pretty normal appointment.

I'm surprised the mirtazapine doesn't make you tired! I take 45mg before I go to bed, and I always feel it kick in when I'm watching TV lol. I'm glad your appt went well . The pdoc for my DBT group is always telling me I have to keep doing things that make me uncomfortable. He's quite fatherly in his advice actually

When I first started the mirtazapine I would get tired, again when I upped the dosage to 30 but after a week no more tiredness from it. I am back taking melatonin for sleep.

Mirtazapine knocks me out. I had to have it decreased from 45 to 30 because I was sleeping 12+ hours at a time. (By the way, thanks for reminding me to take it.)

What do you think about the med students being there? Does it bother/distract you? Do they ever talk? I've just completely ignored them. Is that normal?
Thanks for this!

The med students don't bother me. In my initial appointment there were 3 and one did my medical/psych history, the other two were quiet. Today the student made a few comments. I find that I learn more having the students there as he explains things to them.

I think I would need horse tranquillisers to calm me down! I tolerate very quickly to meds and I prefer feeling drowsy to anxious!

When i was in the hospital there were med students in my first psych session... I almost threw up i was so nervous! I ended up talking to a pa student for a while though, and she was so nice and helpful. Sending good vibes her way.

Well, I wish DBT was offered where I am. Maybe then I could be as good as you and not suck a f*** up. That's how you see me I'm sure.

my friends...please don't feel you are a f...k up....its this train of thought that is so bad for us..... I am trying daily to like myself...I am always so frustrated when I start down that track of being bad, useless ,horrible....etc... I have to stop and back up off that track.... its something I work on and my bf is helping me with...as a matter of fact...we have a secret ear tug we do when I start down the bad track...nobody else knows or notices...but we smile about it....we talk about it later while we are snuggling.... he helps me want to be a better and whole person every day... I just love him for it... please know all this will pass as you will feel better about yourself...and may even grow to like you!!!
