Guys, I never had a so low self-steem before. I can't think of a single good thing about myself.
I can't even be helpfull here for people anymore. I would like to think that I could help people feeling better. I lived a very optimistic period in my life and I liked joking and seeing the nice side in everything and everyone now, suddenly, all this has disappeared.

AzulOscuro, I can think of one good thing about you: you are an active part of the Psych Central community. That means a lot to me. Psych Central has helped me be more involved with people and you are doing something to come out of the shadows and be here with others. That is one darn important good thing in my book.

But I am sorry you are suffering from low self esteem. Have you talked with your T or a therapist that specializes in BPD about this or seen a psych doc to get meds to help keep you on solid ground?

I'm sorry that you're feeling this way. Has anything happened to make you feel so bad about yourself suddenly?

Please don't feel that you're not helpful. You are. You replied to me, and that meant a lot.

Take good care of yourself, you deserve it.

Yeah. My psychiatrist increased my meds to 225mg of Venlafaxina for my depressions two weeks ago and I will see my new therapist next Tuesday.
Thanks for your kind words. I like to be useful for people and make them happy. I think its my only ability. I do it with my kids at school, with my nieces, with people in the forums but I don't feel usefull anymore.

Thank you, Starling. Yeah, something happened. I have been three days without being able to stop my crying.
This is the problem. I'm too much sensitive.
I like to give people a smile and be nice. This is my way to interact bc I don't see any other value in me. But now, I can't give it.

I have always had low self esteem although I don't know if it is that or that I am actually just worthless either way it sucks but I am sure you are not a bad person but something to consider that perhaps the med change is partly responsible for the mood change just something to think about.

Azul,

You are a helpful person here. You're posting often and asking great questions and suggestions. I think it's good that you can identify what triggered this dip in your emotions. The ups and downs will be there - we just have to help one another ride that wave when it happens.

When I started reading about and doing DBT, I hit a strange low when I thought I would lose my personality if I got "fixed" - This response freaked me out and saddened me for a while.

I'm glad you came by and shared with us. By the way, did you get a chance to check out any online guided meditation or any type of meditation? I can't remember if I sent some links your way, but if you need a link, I can send you one that I like.
stay strong my friend.

Bean.

@Eden: thank you for your reply. I trust this med bc it was always helpfull to rise my mood, only that it takes a bit more time to feel the affects.
Like you, I don't think I had never a good self-steem but I lived a good period before this down.

@MMBean: thank you for your reply. I think I already know what triggers some of my downs. Sadly, my selfworth depends much more on the outside than on my inside.
It's better to know it bc I will be able to give a more right picture to my therapist.
Yeah, I have some meditation audios but I would like to know about the one you preffer.

Thank you both for being here.

Tara Brach - Audio - Guided Meditations

I like this site - I'm sure there might be more but I haven't explored other guided meditation sites. I like this one because of the choices in time - some are 10 minutes long...others 30 min. and there are different meditations.
Thanks for this!

I know how you feel. Sometimes we're useful and sometimes we need to take care of ourselves so that we can be useful. But just by posting, by letting the rest of us know that we're not alone, you have been of use. You were of use to me just now. So thank you.
Thanks for this!
