First, my dog died.

Then within a week, one of my best friends committed suicide.

I just feel so alone. I'm cycling through emotions at a rapid rate. I'm upset that I couldn't have done more to help her. I'm angry at the system for abusing her again and again, then leaving her so miserable that she took her own life. I'm angry because stigma was stopping her from recovering.

I'm so angry and alone and afraid.

I'm so sorry. I'm reminded of the time I heard my cousin died. He was an alcoholic and living on the streets, when he was burned horribly in a stupid accident and then died a few days later. He was only in his 20's at the time.

It was such a helpless feeling to know he was just living on the streets, and that there wasn't anything I could do to help.

I've also known some really cool dogs, and I miss them.

I'm so sorry that happened to your cousin. That is really awful.

Thank you. He died over 20 years ago... but, it's still just so sad.

We played together all the time when we were growing up and he was only about 2 weeks younger than me.

Do you have anyone that you can talk to about what you are going through?

I'm so very sorry for your loss, my dear Are you seeing a therapist currently ? If not, I'd highly recommend speaking to one ASAP. You always have us here on this forum, but nothing can take the place of a trained professional in the flesh. At the very least, they're excellent listeners ... even if they don't have solutions to our problems.

It is so unfortunate that we often can't find help even if it is right in front of us, and that the healthcare system itself can put undue stress on us and abandon us.

Please get professional help (if not already), and don't hesitate to PM me with any thoughts that come to your mind. I'm here for you.

That's so sweet. I had my dog since I was in 2nd grade. He never was much for playing, but he loved to snuggle.

I do have people to talk to, I just have a very hard time reaching out because I feel like I'm being annoying, etc., but it hasn't stopped me, thankfully.

Thanks for taking the time to care.

I just saw my therapist tonight. I was able to work through my feelings and I'm feeling a little better. I've been coping well so far.

Thanks for caring.

I can only imagine how tough it would be to loose a dog that you had known for so long... I can only imagine the good memories you must have....

I'm glad to hear you do have people to talk to..... that is something to be thankful for.
