The most frustrating thing about BPD is being judged. Every time I have any type of emotion I'm being dramatic because of BPD. Any time I reach for help I am attention seeking.

Of course if I dont disclose my diagnosis people still see my behavior/emotions and judge me anyways.

Has anyone had success putting their BPD into remission with therapy or meds? I'm tired of being.

I agree. It seems that people are so proud of being tolerant to everyone except those of us who have mental illness. We are still disposable people for many in society.
It is discouraging. Hugs.

I haven't been able to achieve remission, but I have definitely improved upon my symptoms and it's more manageable now. More importantly I'm able to have better relationships with people and help them deal with me. It is frustrating when the BPD is used against me too, though objectively when I get really emotional it is because of my BPD or negative attitude, it is very rarely justified, though it's still irritating for someone to point out that I'm acting out because of the BPD, like they think them saying that is going to make me suddenly stop...

I've managed my symptoms better with therapy. Still, some medical professionals don't get that I can feel depressed and suicidal for other reasons besides BPD.

Personally I think everyone has something or other going on. Some of us just manage to hide things better than others. I just keep trying to be the best I can. It’s hard for me to accept that but cognitively I remind myself that those who matter love me no matter what. Reading, journaling, walking, yoga and coming to this place are my therapy.
