Well if someone wants to call me a narcissist they can. I’ve already been to therapy and worked on my issues.
Nobody’s said that to me this time. Previously I was definitely called one by a person whom many others called a narcissist. It was ugly. The context was the person I was talking to has to take care of somebody else and I said well I have to take care of me so you go ahead and take care of that other person. That also wasn’t a factor before .

In my case my problems are caused by the fact that people act on what they're told. If people merely thought I was a narcissist in the privacy of their homes without it affecting anything else that would be fine; what actually happens is that people gatekeep anything they can control away from me based on what they're told by others. Such lies keep me away from gainful employment and any semblance of a career, not to mention locking me out of all social groups.

Lies ruin lives, and nothing seems to give people a greater thrill than ruining the life of an innocent person.

It affects your employment?

Of course it does. At the most basic level, employment is based more on who you know rather than what you know - and who admits to knowing you. The more people lie about you, the less people want to associate with you, because they don't question the lies. They believe what they're told by the first person who tells them that doesn't conflict with what they've already been told. And the liars always speak first.


I have problems getting employed and being paid the average rate for my skill level precisely because of preexisting social networks that I'm not allowed into, because of all the lies.
