Hi, have you seen a doctor about this yet? If not you really need to go see a neurologist and let them know how long this has been going on and how it happened. I'm sure they could find out what is causing this. I'm sorry you are hurting. Hugs hun!

The problem is I have no insurance. I applied through the state 2 months ago and still have heard anything. The pain comes from all the nerve endings being cut. The docters told me it could take years to heal. They also beleive my t3 may be slipped in my neck but i havent gotten the tests to prove it. My left arm has lost all its strenghth from not being able to lift it due to my neck and my back pain is crazy. Kind of a snowball effect. hopefully my insurance will get approved soon. The crime victims center paid for all my inital surgerys and therepy and such but I have exausted the funds there so now I wait in pain

I hope your insurance gets approved soon. You shouldn't have to suffer just because of that. Please don't give up hope. Big hugs hun!

Check with your local Health Department for treatment - their cost is based on your income (and) see if there are any medical groups that see people for a set low cost, we have one here in our town that will see you for $20 per person.

And Walmart has a list of medication they sell for $4 a bottle... maybe you can get pain medicine for some relief.

Neck pain is something i have lived with daily and every hour on the hour since 2007. I have sharp stabbing pain at the back of my neck , it radiates up my head and down my arms, spine and legs. I too want it gone, don't want it with me forever, its sad, cause I'm frustrated its stopping me from livin my life.

I think that your name is a wonderful way to help you!!! That's positive thinking!

I have Degenerative joint throughout my Cervical and thoracic --have refused surgery. I got it from lifting 20-40 patients on a floor as an R.N.. Compensation is not enough--very painful..don't do pain meds..lidoderm patches, Naproxyn when severe, warm baths, and heating pads--I walk alot, keep weight down down, and I do yoga--baby steps-----I pray alot. Breathe, meditate, praying for you((Hugs))---not near your neck-gentle hugs!!!

Have had this since 1995. God has been good to me.

The mind-brain-body connection is closely knit. It wouldn't surprise me to find out that some with neck pain use the body language of "he's a pain in the neck" or "that's a pain in the neck". Don't get me wrong, the pain is real. Try countering the idea, just in case. I think it's worth the chance the pain will go away (like the ex?!)

I'm so sorry you're facing this pain/problem. I hope it goes away. My husband had nerves cut in his foot though, over 50 years ago and still gets pain, often "referred" (somewhere else in his foot, other nerves trying to make up for the damaged ones?).

Have you had any massage, physical therapy? I know when I had my neck/shoulder problems a couple years ago (for 4-6 months) that made me feel a little better, sometimes, and the TENS unit helped too.

I hope your medical insurance goes through soon, too! Good luck finding a good doctor and help for your pain.
