I had been doing quite well for a bit. I have had a miserable few days with pain and tonight I can't sleep. I took my celebrex, a vicodin, and more clonazapam then I usually take and I ache and my mind won't stop racing. The pain thing is so arbitrary. It does what it wants. I just took 50 mg of Benedryl to try and get some rest.
When my mind races my pain is worse, which comes first? I was thinking that I had everything under control but obviously not. I do find a confused bunch of muscles when I ask them to do something. They get dumb. I need to get back to P.T. asap! Need new referral as I want to switch to a private place. I just feel like whining is all. Whine whine. Sorry |

![]() I totally understand...... for I just went through a very similar thing and it lasted for 6 months, I am better now with only minor episodes and an occasional BIG one, but I was defeated during it, not to mention a zombie from lack of sleep. Hang in there.... and whine if YOU want to. LoVe, Rhapsody - ((( hugs ))) |

WW, I think if you can work on directing the mind to focus on one thing, through meditation or such, that you will find the body will relax some. Maybe the racing mind is an indicator of stressors, which are also keeping your body tight, and dumping cortisol into your system. Tai Chi, Reiki, hypnosis, meditation, any thing like that will help you I think. TC!

I hate when the random aches and pains keep me awake and then any meds I take to try to sleep make me "sleepy" but I still can't get to sleep. I hate being achey and sleepy at the same time! Sometimes I'll get up and go down and eat some yogurt or make some cream of wheat, hot chocolate, something "soothing," a comfort food, and turn on the TV for half an hour or so. I'm so glad we're retired so it doesn't matter what time it is anymore. Yesterday I had about a 4 hour nap to make up for not much sleep the night before and getting up "too early."
Hope you slept better last night.

Hi WW,
Sorry you aren't sleeping and hurting. I am in the same boat!! I hate it!! I lay down at night and even though I'm tired, my mind is going a million miles an hour. I can't seem to stop it. And, it's usually stuff that I then start to worry about. So, I lay there until I can't lay anymore and get up and turn the tv on just to stop my mind from going. It goes on all night long. So, I know what you are going through and I'm sorry. I hope you will start feeling better soon!! Linda
