I hit a sort of tripwire in my mind/body today in therapy that essentially locks up the body and it can't move. That hasn't happened in a long time. My poor t. Spent an extra hour trying to get me to move.
Long story short, it's very painful (extreme tightness/rigidity and so I am sore and exhausted.

Fibro is kicking my butt today. I suspect all the stress lately has triggered it.

Saw my pdoc yesterday. Have I mentioned I love my pdoc? Not in a romantic way, it's that he is so damned good at what he does.

He agreed that the recent episode when I smelled my father's beery odor and physically got tense was a flashback. He told me flashbacks can happen many, many years after something happened. (I knew that, but it was reassuring to hear him say it.) We agreed I'd done all the right things when it happened.

We had a long talk about what's going on at work. He was almost as upset as I am about what's going on. He also confirmed something I've been hearing through the grapevine, that this is the new "normal" in the profession if you work for an agency. Gawd, I hope I can hold on for three more years.

He had an interesting perspective about the changes at work. He said it's like I am grieving how the agency used to be (focused on helping kids). I laughed and said I thought I was stuck in the anger stage. I'm going to give this some thought. It feels right though.

Kiya, I am so sorry that you got stuck in therapy. Are things any better now?

Liz, what your t said about grieving makes so much sense. I hope that you can ruminate on it and it will help you. Business can be such a ruthless environment that it's scary.

I made it out to the DHHR office today. I came home and slept the afternoon away. Tomorrow I'm supposed to be at Physical Therapy and they told me I have to be there. I can only try. I see my Dr. next week and I'm going to tell him I literally can't afford the gas money to get there and that it's not helping anyway. At least that's what's going through my mind right now. It's absolutely true that it's not helping and I can't afford it.

Take care my friends. I'm very worried about all of you.

It has been awhile since I have checked in. We are going crazy trying to find a house before we have to be completely out of our other one on the 30th. Luckily I am married to a calm and rational man who has assured me that if we don't find a house this week he will order PODS so that we can still move out of the old house on time. We are still hotel living during the week and back home at the house on the weekends packing it up for the move. One more good weekend of packing and we will be ready.

Other then the stress of moving I am doing quite well emotionally as I am excited to get everything done and get settled in. I figure that within a month's time we should be settled into our new home. We just have to find that home first.

Physically other then my anemia and my knees which are bone on bone, things are hanging around my baseline. So, as my doctor puts it, abnormal but normal for me. These darn knees have been barking though. I am trying to put off a double knee replacement for 5-10 years but lately I don't know if I'll make it that long.

That is about it for me. I want you to know that I think about you all often and send my positive thoughts and healing vibes your way each morning. Gentle hugs for all that need or want one. *hugs*

It's so good to hear from you, Mama. I hope you find your house very soon. The pod idea is an excellent one.
I'm glad you and your husband have each other. Please let us hear from you when you can. Love and hugs to you!

Hi guys the last couple of days it's been about 100 degrees here. My house does not have A/C and inside it got to be 92 degrees. I just wanted to cry. The heat is very bad for people with lupus.

I had to go out in it on Sunday to take my grandmother to the cemetery and I noticed a blister on my arm that had been in the sun. That has never happened before but I am not so sure it's from the sun it might be a spider bit.

We are having major issues with our daughter and I can't do it anymore. Hubby has been on another level to. He's not sure if he will have a job at the end of summer and his brother is sick. He keeps everything inside and started having chest pains. So I have a grumpy hubby - I can't seem to do anything right or anything to please him. Then we have my daughter and that's a whole other can of worms.

I feel like crap and just want to run way.

I hope everyone is ok. Gus are you ok?

sending positive vibes and hugs to everyone

Cake, I'm so sorry that you are having such a terrible time. I hope so much that things get better on all levels. Have you thought about having the Dr. check that blister in case it is a spider bite? They can be pretty dangerous. Take care of yourself as best you can in the middle of the chaos.

Today had been a very painful day. I even broke down and took a Coricidin Flu and it didn't help much. That's a first. I go to the Pain Specialist tomorrow. That will be my second foray out since I got sick with that Upper Respiratory thing. I would appreciate good thoughts and prayers that I have enough energy to do it. Pocket Riders are needed. Thanks all.

Jan, tuck me in your pocket.

Cake, how about going someplace that has A/C to cool off a bit? Maybe hang out at the library or the mall? I understand your hubby's worry about possibly losing his job, but it doesn't make it okay to take it out on you. What would happen if you said something like"Hon, I know you are worried, but please don't snap at me."

Kiya, can I be a slug with you?

Still exhausted and hurting. I am getting sick of mentioning it. I feel like a broken record.

Jan I will always be a pocket rider for you.

I see the rhemy today. I got into it with her assistant yesterday. My appointment wasn't till Wednesday. They had already changed it once. They called at 4 pm to change it again. They had a student called whoncould not even say my last name correctly which is an easy last name then he told me my appointment was to be changed and to hold for the assistant. Why couldn't the assistant just have called ? Why call and out me on hold like that? It was a power trip for her. The doctor was long gone for the day. I they wanted to give me an appointment in the hottest park of the day but I already have an appointment for this afternoon. It's with the vet and our vet is hard to get into and McGee needs his rabies shot since we have a wild fox running around in neighbors backyard. I need to protect him. I was not aware his had expired and it just expired. Once I heard about the fox I called to make an appointment. I could see one of the other vets but I wanted the vet ipwe have been going to for 22 years her first available appointment was today's 3:15 so I took it.

So it's 3:44 am I have opened the windows to get what cool air I could get in. But we have been having record temps. on days like this I don't usually leave the house heck I don't usually leave the house anyway anymore it's to hard.

I will have the doctor check my arm. The only thing it could be is a spider bite or a blister from the heat which some lupus patients get. If it is from the heat them I am in even bigger trouble with my lupus then before. To add to everything my breathing isn't to great and I a, sure my blood pressure is off the hook. Oh well I just can't win

Everyone take care. I miss you guys but it seems that all I do is complain and not encourage you guys which is not fair. I miss you guys.

Take care

Sending love and hugs

DeAnna
