Jan~ that flower is called a "Skeleton Flower" and is asiatic in locale. it's white until it's touched by water, then it goes all transparent... (kinda like me.)

another one of those History Channel documentaries that i really enjoyed (and learned a lot from), is about the history of the bronze age in the Mediterranean area. i can't seem to find a good commercial-free link, but it's called:

Cyatic nerve getting hit something awful today... it's been going for a few days but today is so much worse... I was even debvating cancelling my T appt cuz I didn't feel like getting out of the house from it, and then T ended up needing to cancel, so I guess that works.

Its been just over 4 weeks since she did "that" in my home.

My Husband has been in the hospital since Monday night . Chest pain.. Classic heart attack stuff .. his heart checked out ok.. So this is all lung his emphesma has gotten much worse and tonight we learned he will need oxygen 24/7 now..

I know so many of people have it much worse , I see everyone struggling here so much .

I just keep getting more and more shyt piled onto me.

I have gotten a handful of hours of sleep in the last 5 days so that is effecting how I am dealing with this all...

Tomorrow he comes home and the Oxygen people will come and suppliment what machine the hospital is sending him home with.

Christina I am so sorry that it happened in your home. I bet it's very hard to see her door or even go into that room. You opened your home and your heart to her. It's going to take time.

I keep getting things piled on me and I can't wait for this year to be over with. I am praying next year will be better.

I am very sorry about your husband. The oxygen will help him. It will take some getting used to but once you do it will be ok.

We are all here for you.

Belle is ok, but she ran out of the door and into the street. I gave chase and before I could get to her, two huge dogs decided to visit with her. They frightened her and I tried to intervene. She ran away again and I tripped and fell into the wall chasing her. I hurt my shoulder and sprained my foot; at least I think that's all it is.

I'm having to work on some different procedures around here. I've taught her the command "stay", but she gets excited and ignores it. I need a gate of some kind.

The nice pdoc decided not to take more patients. I have an appointment at the end of Sept. with someone I've never heard of, but at least it's someone. In the meantime, it's no sleep and living on bread because of the colitis.

Christina, I wish I could wave a magic wand and make all the bad things disappear for you. Cake, please take care of yourself. Kiya, where are you? Child, I hope you feel better. Liz, are you feeling better? How is Ollie? Gus, thank you for the wonderful flowers.

Cold is finally gone. I still get froggy sounding one in awhile from drainage, but feel better.

Jan, what about hooking a leash to Belle's collar before you open the door so you can keep her from running off?

Jan what about a baby gate at the door so she can't just run out.

I am hot tired and sick to death of migraines. More drama with my daughter. She said she was going to hurt herself today so I drove to where she lives because I needed the address and had a welfare check done on her. Now she is mad at me but my sister attempted to take her own life when I was in 7th grade and I know the feeling. And I am sorry that I don't know how to put a trigger on this.

I had to have her car towed to my house because it will not start and it's in the 90's here. I am waiting for the sun to get off the pool so that I can get in it and cool off. So Christina I know how you feel I fund my sister.

[COLOR="Teal"]Believe me, I'm not starving. I've got bread I can eat. The brakes are out on the van, so I can't go to the store, but my brother said he'd go for me this week if I need help. I did find a box of baby cereal, so that's a good idea. Thank you for reminding me I have it. I have some mac and cheese I thought I might try if I can work up the courage.

Thank you for the ideas on Belle. The problem with the baby gate is the way the apartment is made, I really have no place to put one that will be of benefit. I'm going to see if my friend, who can build about anything, can come up with an idea. Meanwhile, I'm going to clip on her leash anytime I have to open the door to talk to someone or step outside. She'll just have to get used to it.

Cake, I'm so sorry you lost your sister and that you were the one who found her. You and Christina have been through some horrible things.

I live in a tiny, tiny apartment. Management sent word that we were to move out the washer and dryer and move everything from that closet and one of the bedroom closets. My friend came and helped me. There was no way I could do it by myself. Everything is everywhere. The washer and dryer are in my LR.

Today they demanded I immediately empty the last two remaining closets, one of which is huge and there is no way I can manage it by myself. There is also nowhere to put the things in it or the smaller closet. Nowhere.

I stood up to five men today and refused. I told them I don't live in a handicapped apt. for my health and they would have to wait until I could get some help. My poor friend is coming back to help me and I have until Wed morning to get it all done. My apt. looks far worse than when I moved in here. At least then everything was boxed. It will take weeks to get everything replaced. I have no energy.

I'm tired, in a horrible mood and close to tears. Also, my brother never called to see if I need groceries. That doesn't help. Thanks for reading this.

Omg Jan- the stuff these ppl pull..., I've been so mad at my own place.... I finally bought a necklace pendant that says "not my circus, not my monkeys". There's nothing I can do about the chaos when, instead of listening to me and fix the problem, they actually blame for noticing it and then make up reasons to get me in trouble for it!! Out of my hands.

What they're doing to you is in humane.
