Liz between the fibro pain and my lupus and MS I can hardly move. This past weekend was the worst. Try not to over due it Liz take care of your self

I am in quite severe pain today.

my bracelet broke though- need to find a way to bend down and pick up the beads (though I may give it a day or so)

I don't want anything to happen and I'm not sure I can cope with the pain today

I posted elsewhere I'm feeling overwhelmed today.

I've mentioned before that I still own my mom's home I inherited when she died. That was in the midst of the financial crash. I held onto the house because the market was so bad. Then I thought I'd move into the house when I retire. The house is in a 55+ community. The folks who lived there when mom was alive were nice, every day kind of folks. The demographics have changed. The people there now are busy bodies who are in everybody else's business. I do the best I can to look after the place. I go once or twice a month to spruce up the outside to keep it up to standards. I've gotten three letters in the last year about weeds in the flower beds. I went an cleaned things up as soon as I got the first two letters. I'd already cleaned things up by the time the third one reached me.

I was there two weeks ago, pulled the few weeds there were, trimmed bushes, that sort of thing. I thought the yard looked nice when I got done. Yesterday I got a certified letter with a fine for $100 because I haven't kept the place up. There no explanation of any current problem, just an abusively word letter about the "eye sore." I'm pissed beyond words. I'm also feeling overwhelmed. Mentioned before that I have a couple of weeks off work with plans to do some things both around the farm and mom's. Now I'm feeling pressured to prioritize mom's place. I need to rest. I know I need to rest. At the same time I need to get mom's place taken care of. I'm going to put it on the market ASAP. I can't maintain both places. And there is no way in hades I want to live in a place where other people have their noses in my business all the time.

To top things off I woke up yesterday to the onset of a flare . That was before I got the letter. Read the letter, stress level went through the roof and flare was off to the races.

Thanks for letting me rant everyone. I'm a little less stressed as a result. Typing things out helped me lay out a plan. Flare is still kicking my butt, but at least I have a plan.

I e-mailed the condo commandos this response to their letter. Will let you know their response. Again, flare is still kicking my arse, but emotionally I feel a little better for having taken action. Maybe the last bit is not nice, but I'm **** about people who can not get my last name right.

I received your letter dated May 24, 2018. I did not receive the card requiring a signature for the certified letter until June 19, 2018. I actually received the letter on June 26, 2018. I do not know the reason for the delay between the date of the letter and my receipt of the signature card. I would like to point out however, that for those of us who work a trip to the post office entails taking time off from work for the trip, hence the delay in my signing for the letter. Your letter states that I had fourteen (14) days from the date of the letter to respond. I did not even receive notice of the letter within that time limit. I do not see how I could respond prior to even receiving the letter.

I object to your allegation that I "failed to address the violations" regarding the property. I address the problems as soon as I received the letters dated July 14 and November 17. I e-mailed Ms. Crocker and David as soon as I did. In the case of the February 19 letter, I'd addressed the problems before I received the letter. I presume the letter was in the mail before I went to the house. Since that time I have traveled to the house every couple of weeks to attend to the property.

I would like to know what, specifically, is wrong at the house right now? I was at the house two weeks ago. I pulled a few weeds from the flower beds, trimmed bushes, etc. I plan to be there again the end of this week. I will address any current problems at that time.

As a heads up, I plan to paint the drive as soon as the weather permits. The paint needs twenty-four (24) hours to set before it gets wet. With the daily storms I have not been able to paint.

Finally, I would like to point out that my last name is not "****." It is "***-***."

Oh, this is priceless! They put the wrong e-mail address in the letter!

Gus, I want to see a video of you doing the hip joint dance. Thank you so much for the beautiful, beautiful pictures. It must take a lot of energy to find them and post them and I appreciate them so much.

No matter what, never, never ingest sucrulose!!!! I decided to cut back my sugar intake and started using sucrulose, (the yellow packets), in my tea and my baking. I have been completely down sick and in such pain that I hurt every where and have been spending a lot of time in bed. I can't even stand for my shoes to touch my feet. I searched Splenda and arthritis and didn't come up with the right info to match how I'm feeling. Yesterday I finally searched Splenda and fibro. Oh my! It described everything. This is a warning to you all.

Liz, could you threaten to take them to small claims court unless they rescind the fine? plus they would have to pay court costs, and time lost from work (unless you have evening court there). often just the threat of fighting back makes them back down~

The e-mail provided in the letter apparently goes to an office person. I got a politely worded note from her saying she was forwarding my message to the president of the association and that she would take care of the error with my name. We'll see how it goes. If they push it with the fine I have a legal service as a benefit I pay for at work. I'll contact them to see what they can do about it.

When mom died I really planned to move into her house when I retired. There's going to come a day when I can not take care of the farm anymore. I've decided that this is NOT the place I want to live though. Out here in the boonies we all just do our own thing on our own property. Living with a bunch of busybodies who would have their noses in my business just ain't gonna work. My Redneck Princess (fond memories of George H for giving me that nickname) would end up showing her potty mouthed side to one of them one day.

Vortex, Jan probably means one of those gizmos that has pinchers on one end and a trigger kind of thing on the other for reaching things on the floor and picking them up. I got one for a friend who had back surgery and could not bend over. She loved it. I got it at Dollar Tree where everything costs a buck.

yesterday was the hottest that this date has ever been recorded~! the day before was a 25 yr high.... i got out the portable water cooler, and had to use the spray bottle as well... our UV index is DANGEROUS (mostly to tourists, but even to people who work out of doors). thank goodness for the foolish moon

Sorry I've been absent lately. Depression plus pain makes me hide a lot.

I see a nurse practitioner at my pain doc today. I'm gonn as push for new imaging of my back where I had surgery last October. I should not be having this much pain, imo. They keep telling me that it will take more time to start working, blah blah blah. Idc what they say, I want a new MRI. I can't keep trying to function at 9 out of 10 on the pain scale and not able to fully stand up. With PT, we are chasing the pain, it's not getting better.

She said if the pain us the same as before the surgery, that there is no point in new imaging. I was told before surgery there was a 70% chance it would be successful. So she's going with it was not successful. The other option I had at that time was partial fusion. I was given a referral to a spine surgeon who does more invasive surgeries. I requested this particular doctor over the one I had my 2nd opinion with last year. This one has done 3 surgeries for my mother, all successful. Hoping he will want imaging...
