up at 4:30 am, can't move the right side of my body, and most of my left side. i've actually been doing not too bad the last couple of months (as in no major injuries) but this reminds me of just how bad it can get.

hope you all are doing alright. it's been a while since i've been here. cakeladie - sorry to hear about your mom.

I keep thinking back, trying to remember what it was like to not live with pain ... I know it's been years, maybe 8 or so ago when it all started ... I cannot remember what it's like to NOT be in pain ... I wish I could, but it's lost on me what that even feels like anymore ...

I fell in the road today.

that's how much pain I was in

I didn't fall for long but I did have a right tantrum over it

I was in agony and embarrassed myself and I'm sure lots of others

pretty sure that the lady standing next to me was speechless

yesterday I went out shopping. despite it being really busy, it was so nice to see so many people in the christmas spirit

wishing me a merry christmas and saying ho ho ho as they walked past

so festive!

I hope everyone had a nice christmas day yesterday.

mine wasn't what I'd hoped for (mainly because I didn't get what I want), and because during the latter part of the day I started having severe (and I mean severe) backpain- which even though it's now the next day is not letting up

and of course everyone on this forum was great

like they always are

hugs to all

Has anyone seen or heard from Gus? I'm not seeing anything by her anywhere around the site. Worried about her.

Fibro pain is at what I call "background noise." It's there, but not so bad that it demands all my attention.

I try to make it background, too, by keeping distracted.

I had a great Christmas!

Hope folks will feel better soon, if they are hurting today in any way.
Thanks for this!

If you go to the Diabetes Support thread and check in on page 59 you will find a post there from Gus. She seems okay.

Dealing with an ongoing stomach situation (IBS) that has changed since the c. Diff over the summer. I won’t go into the graphic graphics, but let’s just say that when I finally got up enough courage to call the clinic, the nurse’s answer of “these are things we usually treat conservatively at home” brought tears running down my face. Then she said Happy New Year.
My stomach is bloated out past my double D sized cups, I either cat go or can’t stop going, I have pain and some bleeding, I afraid to go due to the pain and nausea, afraid to eat...
Happy New Year. Yeah, thanks.
“Do you think you need to move up your appointment from the 16th?
Shouldn’t you be answering that?! I told her no- I mean, what’s the use?
And what DO I say next month? “I’m fine” since they don’t seem to know how to doctor?
When I first started there, I liked that I was included in “what do you think is going on?”... until I realized they ask that every time and then agree with whatever I say.
Why do I still continue to look for providers? Solutions? Cures? I want to smack myself.
Knew you’d all understand in here. Preaching to the choir, as it were.

She was upset because she could no longer reach Jan and she was worried to death about her she wasn't doing to go and left instructions with someone here if something was to happen to her hernwho to notify inhave sent PMs and they go unanswered along with Jan's PM's

Thanks Pfrog. I miss her. I hope she is finding what she needs at the new place.

Pfrog, I just noticed your signature about being broken. Did you see my post in the social forum about my new siggy? Yep, we all are broken 'round here, but the cracks are what let the light and healing in. It's okay to be broken. I spent most of my life feeling shamed for being broken. No more. I've come to accept the damage because it helped create the person I am today, who a pretty cool person.
