yesterday I watched the christmas bunny.

I get to watch this film once a year (just once), and yesterday was the day.

it is my favorite christmas movie, but I got quite emotional over it (I always do, it's an emotional movie) but I did enjoy it. it's still really good even after all these years.

it is now almost christmas. despite being really depressed and in a lot of pain (mainly my back), I am reallyooking forward to it- well that's a bit of a lie, I am looking forward to watching christmas carol on christmas day, more than the actual holiday itself, part of me just wants it to be over (the part of me that realises that the only person I'll be talking to on christmas day is myself)

hope you all have a good christmas

Raging Vortex, there's a Christmas gathering in the Coffeehouse here at PC on Christmas Day.
Maybe joining in would help you feel less alone?

Pfrog, love the road trip pic. You find the best stuff.

Christina, pack plenty of patience. The interstates are giant parking lots lately. I had to go to our corprate office Wednesday, which means interstate travel. It was a friggin' nightmare. It reminded me why I chose to work in a location that lets me take backroads to work. There6so much development going on between me an the interstate that a trip that should take 10-15 minutes took me half an hour the other day. I'll think of you on your drive.

Well usually the drive takes 13 hours give it take a bit.

Well it was 17.5 hours!!!, massive road construction it’s was rain the entire trip. One area, the pavement was just gone half my car was off the road I have no idea how I got back on the road, accident after accident. 10 mins out of downtown Atlanta there was an accident ,backed up almost 10 miles , they finally forced everyone to drive have on the shoulder and off in the grass.

There were dozens of accidents.. raining and people still drying like lunatics !!!!

Unfortunately lots of blue tarps covering vehicles , very sad people dying and especially during the holidays , very sad.

My body is on fire , joints are awful, my lungs felt just a bit better the other day. The pollution and cars , have my lungs struggling bad again. Ugh

Gentle hugs

If anyone talks to cakelady tell her I really miss here

Thanks

That doesn't sound like a fun road trip at all @~Christina! Hope the fire settles down a bit before the big day!

That cold, wind and rain did a number on my whole body yesterday too!

Christina, your drive sounds horrid! I'm trying to psych myself up for the drive to a friend's house. I'm planning on backroads, so maybe traffic won't be too bad. 🤞

my christmas day wasn't anything to really write home about.

I was alone for all of it, I didn't get what I wanted (which was a given even before the day had started, I just didn't want to admit it), plus: my turkey dinner was less than average

I am still feeling depressed today though, despite taking down the christmas tree. I don't know why it's such a big thing for me... when I take down the tree I get so emotional

plus side to christmas is that I wasn't in much pain

sat quite comfortably in my chair yesterday watching the muppet christmas carol

Well, I've certainly lost a lot of ground over these past couple of years - 2019 especially! I still believe that all of this started with (and is directly related to) a severe allergic reaction I had to an antibiotic back in 2009. At any rate, I made a list of where I'm at right now - the physical and emotional impact all this has had on me and my body. Y'all don't have to read it as it could prove to be overwhelming, but I just needed a place to put it other than just letting it continue to swirl around inside my head with no place to settle.

Possible trigger:

There's been a lot of cursing and crying jags had during this past year, but now I kinda have an idea where I'm at instead of continuing to just wander around in the dark wondering exactly what the @#$%! is going wrong with my body. The upside for the year is I learned it's okay to ask for help, did a little advocating for myself, and was granted a much needed reasonable accommodation at work!

Well I survived another trip to Florida and back.

My breathing was improving but a gazillion cars and pollution have me back to wheezeville.

While bringing in our luggage and that damn heavy oxygen concentrator I have really hurt my back. I just wanted to get it done quickly , he was getting our well turned back on and replacing whole house filter.

My husband had to help me get up out of bed !!!! So embarrassing

I’m hoping my back heals quickly !

Fibro is as expected with strange beds and 12-18 hours in the car.

Just to update everyone, it's been weeks since I reached out to Cakelady. Still no answer. I'm hoping this means she's either to busy to respond or has moved on from PC, but am afraid it means something bad.

Hey Liz thanks for asking.

I’m still pretty banged up back wise, that’s all my fault so....

My breathing is getting better. I just hope it’s better enough when I see my rheumatologist for him to start a different biologic. Of course it usually takes a few weeks for my damn insurance to agree to cover it, it’s crazy most biologics are 1200.00 a month and up !!!! If paying cash , which who can do that anyway ?!? Then it takes a couple months to see if it will help.. hurry up and wait wait wait.

My god I will beg him to do injections on my right hand middle finger , no it’s not from over use in Florida LOL ! It just feels like lava and hard blinding shooting pains almost constant now. All my joints feel awful but wow this finger is like a tooth ache.

I also fear something has happened to cakelady she had a lot of serious health problems and also a lot of nonsense with family members too

How’s the work going at your Mom’s place??? I hope somehow you have been able to pace yourself a bit better, but I understand you wanting to get it done and over with.

Gentle hugs

Ok Rheumatologist and I decided to try Xeljanz 5mg twice a day. So they need to get it authorized and that usually take a few weeks my insurance company loves dragging there feet on anything expensive and this is one of them... cash price is 4,915.00 per month ?!?!? Who in the holy hell could pay that. ( insert rant on big Pharma here)

This medication is a pill and not an injection but it carries the same risk of lowering my ability to fight infections etc etc but that’s fine I just need the pain to ease.

My Body has been telling me for days a cold front is coming and my weather guy confirmed it. Saturday more rain and then 35+- drop in temp. Oh joy
