currently I am feeling quite amused though

I have just figured out the lyrics to a song were not what I thought

I thought the lyrics were, " I will shower you"

turns out the lyrics are I wish I were you. lol

I don't know if my ribs are broken or "just" bruised. Years ago I broke most of the ribs on my left side. I forgot how badly they hurt. Current situation is reminding me.

To top it off fibro and CFS decided to join in. Ribs hurt like holy hades. Rest of the bod joined the chorus. Plus I'm so tired I feel drunk half the time. Would someone please just shoot me and put me out of my misery?

Oh dear @lizardlady ...

I was just thinking the same thing myself yesterday.

How they'd take the old worn out nags out behind the barn and ...

Can't believe I think of myself like that sometimes!

Extra gentle hugs to you, and may today be a bit kinder to us.

Thanks for this!

I'm much too young to pfeel this damn old ...

It grieves me something fierce!

I planned on grabbed items from Sprouts and Whole Foods however fatigue was very high today.

I’m going to Spouts and Whole Foods ASAP. I get all my fresh fruits, vegetables and smoothie ingredients at both places.

I decided to stay home, get a few things done around the house and get ready for the week ahead.

I finished folding my laundry.

Dinner was easy. I cooked hamburgers yesterday. We had leftovers, I baked sweet potatoes and acorn squash.

My paper planner is caught up for the week.

I budget for May 2022 is completed.

My teenager is going to day camp and school.
I need to add the start date to my planner.

I will also add the first day of school for 2022-2023.

Got some good news pfor a change ...

Medicare kicks in on 09/01 of this year!

The 24 month waiting period is based on when they determine your disability benefits begin, and pfor me that was Sept. 2020.

Needless to say I'm relieved, because I won't be without health insurance as long as I thought I would!

WooHoo!

How are you & your orchids doing @lizardlady?

Betty's been blooming since January!

I've had a total of 5 pflowers so pfar, & two more are in the works.

Who'd've thought a plant could bring so much joy?

May Sunday Be Kind To Us!

Since January?!? That's awesome!

I moved mine back outside on Easter. They are doing well. As they finish blooming I've been repotting them. Am experimenting with different types of pots. I'll take some pics and post them.

so, I finally have a higher shower chair installed with handles on the sides of the chair, and today I got to use it.

honestly, it didn't make much of adiffrence to me. the handles helped a bit with standing up and sitting down, but my balance is still off- and everytime I move I nearly fall off the chair, and the pain while moving my body feels like I'm awake during a surgery.

it's just me, I guess. I am (or to be more exact my body), is getting older.

I'll continue to use the chair for the support of the handles, but it's not lifechanging

I didn't really expect it to be, honestly, but still I expected a slightly more positive result

I started back listening to a variety of podcasts last year.

Certain podcasts I binge listen Fibromyalgia Check-In Thread #6 ... to a take breaks because the topics are heavy, triggering, emotional and a reminder of global chaos.

Most podcasts conduct interviews. I follow several individuals, BIPOC businesses, add movies/series to my watch list, and add books on my wishlist etc all featured in podcast interviews…

46 days into my vegetarian journey. My autoimmune illnessES have been very well behaved!!!

In hindsight, I wish I knew about certain things 20 years ago..

•Functional medicine vs Conventional.

•The importance of gut health.

•Parasitic cleanse.

•Ayurveda approach vs Conventional One-Size-Fits-All approach.

•Hydrotherapist- a massage therapist that specializes in lymphatic drainage, to gain more insight.

•How emotional trauma can cause a dysfunctional relationship with food.

•Why prescription drugs don’t always solve the root cause of your problem.

what nutrigenomics is, and how lifestyle factors affect genetic expression.

Importance of sleep hygiene and reducing stress.

•What integrative psychiatry is.

•How “genes load the gun, and lifestyle pulls the trigger”

•What genetic testing shows us and how we can use it for our health.

•What amino acid therapy is.

•The ways sleep influences our health.

•The importance of stress management.

•The problems associated with prescription drugs.

the pain while I showered today was ridiculously high

I am physically exhausted, and it's only gone 10:00 in the morning (and that's with my new chair that's supposed to help me)

ugg... ugg and even more ugg
