Can a person with combat PTSD display psychopathic behaviours because of this?

And if a person with these behaviors wants to change does that alone mean they are not psycbopathic? As I understand it a true psychopath does not want help.

I am hoping for hope for my boyfriend.

not really sure about that one. I think you would really need to talk to a therapist or pyschiatrist on that. I do know they can become psychotic. gee I hope I am spelling this stuff right lol. I was married to a combat vet and he had many episodes of flashbacks and did not know who I was or where he was. he thought he was still in vietnam at times. I also know they become very anti social. being around people just really bother them.

can you give some examples of your boyfriends behaviors?

displaying psycopathic behaviors doesnt make him psychopathic in and of themselves, atleast from a medical standpoint. granted if he displays a large number of them, then he possibly is...i was a medic not a shrink though, and mental disorders definately wasnt my specialty, do know a little bit though.
anyway, depending on what he did and how recently he got back, might just require time.
can u say what behaviors he's showing and what he did and how long he's been away from combat for?
