Skully,, i know the site occassionally has a "Community Fund Drive" to help some member in crisis. why not send your question to one of the Moderators,, or DocJohn, they surely would know (unless you just meant to provoke thought among the membership

The community is run as a part of Psych Central, which does not take donations because it is a for-profit entity and makes its money through online ads (like WebMD or any other health website).
However, last year we spun off the community fund drives we've been running for the past 4 or so years into a non-profit 501(c)3 charity called the Psych Central Community Connection. You can learn more about that organization and donate to it at: http://psychcentral.org/ Your donations help fund future fund drives for community members. In 2011, we'd like to try and ensure we do at least 6 to 8 fund drives for community members, to help in times of financial need. If you're ever in financial need and could use a small personal grant, please check into the Psych Central Community Connection. Members have access to this resource, which is just one of the many benefits of membership in our community. Best, DocJohn

Thank you Doc. I remember seeing a donation for a forum member but I didn't have the money at the time to help. This was about a week ago and I am willing to donate now if it is not too late.

You can always donate to the Connection, regardless of whether a specific fund drive is going on or not. 100% of donations go to the community fund drive grants, so if not used for a current or recent past fund drive, it will be used for the next one.

My Support Forums is the online community that was originally begun as the Psych Central Forums in 2001. It now runs as an independent self-help support group community for mental health, personality, and psychological issues and is overseen by a group of dedicated, caring volunteers from around the world.
