The site is really slow again since the new upgrade and it starts way earlier than before. It's 7:27 PT and it's taking forever the next page to load! GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRR

i bet it has to do with the increasing amount of pictures after everyones posts, that have become fashionable in the last few months.

I'm glad it's not just my computer. It was so slow the past few days that I've avoided being here.

It's happening more and more with my computer, too. ARGH!! It keeps kicking me off to "This page could not be displayed".

It would be helpful to post any messages you see in the status bar at the bottom of your browser, if there are any..

Yeah, there's some issue going on (again!) that I'll have to look into... sorry about that... I have some ideas.

Me too, Sept. I just got finished writing a post I took a lot of time constructing then the darn thing disappeared when I hit submit and it threw me off to a "Page cannot be displayed" page.
I'm going to try editing the pictures on sigs and avatars. I'll see if that helps. I'll come back and let you know if it improves any.

If you notice the site is slow and you're concerned about losing something, always save a copy of what you're writing beforehand (in Word or your email program or someplace). It's not a solution to the slowness problem, but it will save some future aggravation...

Deleting the sigs and avatars does help. I'm not getting kicked off as much. Although, the pages still do take some time to load.
Thanks, Doc. I'll get into the habit of doing that for those time consuming posts.

Okay, I wish I had read this a few days ago. i have been thinking it was my computer and maxed the ram on the one I am using now. Can't sleep and the pages are very slow. Maybe I should dig out the Mac for Dummies book to put me to sleep.
