They seem to be cascading.. wonder if it's the site going down... grrrrr[list][*]
Gives me "read only" privileges while I'm still logged in-- then dumps me out.(this is new!) (depression forum)[*]won't let me edit, says there's no such page or such[*] won't load main page (unavailable?)[*] it did something else it hadn't before.. grrr right now I can't recall what it was

Sky...it seemed as tho the site had gone down for a spell. I got the same thing when I tried to enter the site.

There was definitely something unhappy going on.
I know the general cause of these problems and I know generally what I have to do to solve them. But for now, after some maintenance this morning, I believe I have them licked (fingers crossed!).

The site's still going down today... I just got back on after being booted for an hour or so, and I couldn't get on the site earlier too because it was down...

We ordered another server to remove the problem process from the forum server. I should have it online and running what I need it to run by Monday. Until then, I'll keep a careful eye on this box and try to ensure it keeps going okay...

I've noticed the problems too! But, after some down time this morning, it's zipping faster than it has in a LONG time! Refreshing!

Still having intermittent problems... esp chat room screen freeze which I have never had trouble with here
 I keep getting booted out of a thread right at the point of submitting the post... (which could be a good thing in one way ) Of course, the site still doesn't remember my settings for days of threads to show.. also, the homepage search is stuck on a search I did more than a week ago...and not the last search I did. Just for FYI.... I can bear with it all now that I know it isn't just me, and that it's going to change eventually... ty.

The server's been installed and the process that was causing the issues has been removed from the forum server. I did a lot of maintenance on everything as well. It seems this has resolved the problems the forums have been experiencing for the past 2 weeks.
Sky, the search isn't "stuck" on that query, that's just a default query I put there to give folks an idea of what kind of thing they should enter. It goes away as soon as you click on the box. Thanks for all of your patience! DocJohn

I'm still having problems with the site, getting a whole page of SQL error messages, instead of the normal login page. Sometimes I can still get in by clicking on the Login link, which is the only recognizable bit of the page apart from the picture at the top.
It must be Sunday 11th December, about 9.45am site time.
