DocJohn, can we have a SAVE DRAFT option? I'm tired of my browser crashing in the middle of my posts. I thought the problem with my browser crashing was the type of browser. I've tried Mozilla, Firefox, and Safari. I thought it was a computer problem or a virus, so I got rid of the PC and bought a Mac. Nothing helps . . . I keep seeing the browser freeze while I'm typing a post.

The problem is probably user error DocJohn, can we have a SAVE DRAFT option? . . . because I think slowly and have difficulty pulling my thoughts out of my head . . . during that time, a number of things I may be doing is crashing the browser.

I wish I could periodically save a post I'm drafting.

Can we have a SAVE DRAFT option? DocJohn, can we have a SAVE DRAFT option?

If nothing else, you can type your post in a text file until you're finished, then copy-paste it into the post field and send it then. I don't know what could be causing your browser to crash. I would suggest it's the operating system, but you said you even tried switching to a Mac. Maybe someone else can help. Sorry.

You can always Ctl C what you have typed, and paste it? Is it just your browser crashing? Or is there a time limit setting on your computer where you need to tell it to NEVER go to standby? IDK about it being set ref. just a browser... but it does sound like a timeout setting to me.

I'm not aware of any forum software that allows a user to do this, but it's a good idea for a future feature, definitely!

In the meantime, I might suggest something along the lines of other people's suggestions here -- compose lengthy replies in some program on your computer (your word processor, your email program, whatever allows you to save and is easiest for you to use). When you're finished with composing, copy and paste the text into the box here. Sorry that's more work than it should be, but hopefully it's something that someone can offer as a feature in forum software in the future.
