I am gonna shoot my computer!!!!! If I lose one more reply...If I lose one more reply...
Okay, maybe not, but I will definitely have a temper tantrum!!! If I lose one more reply...

PLEASE, SOMEONE TELL ME THAT THERE IS A WAY TO SAVE A DRAFT OF A POST THAT IS NOT READY TO BE SENT.

I can't take losing another message just because I used my back button! If I lose one more reply... (no messages saying "stop using your back button," okay? Please? I am very vulnerable right now) If I lose one more reply...

Please, please help me! Anyone? Anyone at all?

I am SO frustrated, I think I'm going to go SANE!

To solve this problem I type up my post in my AOL e-mail and then I copy and paste it to PC..... then I hit the submit button, or save it for later if I am not ready for it to be sent yet.

Good Luck....... If I lose one more reply...

Love,
Rhapsody -

There are two other ways to try also:

If you aren't losing internet connection, then once you have typed your post, before continuing... highlight the post and hit CTL "C" (the control button and the letter "c") This will copy it. Click on continue for your post to be submitted. If it is, then no problem, if the post is 'lost' then you can either hit your "BACK" button (and if the post is there, resubmit) or if you have a blank window and no post: put your cursor into the text box, then hit CTL "V" (control button, "V" letter) and this will paste what you saved into the box.

Note: you do not have to hit the control CTL button and the letter AT THE SAME TIME, but you do need to hold the CTL button down as you hit the "c" or "v." If I lose one more reply...

If you end up with the dreaded double post, you have nearly an hour to Edit it and delete it If I lose one more reply... If I lose one more reply...

I do that (lose posts when they don't go thru and I hit "back") when I'm using IE.

I don't have that problem one iota with my mozilla. It's the best. If I lose one more reply...

Mozilla Firefox is a free download and excellent.

Whenever submitting and something gets hung up or whatever, I just hit back and try it again.

I refuse to use IE for anything except java games now.

Good luck!

what works for me is that before I click submit I highlight what I just typed and then right click on it and then left click on the - copy - option. That way if it doesnt go through I can just open a new reply slot right click and click on - paste - and theres the post that i just lost safe and sound.

I know what you mean, Altered State, I have that happen all the time too, especially in my Webmail accounts. I do get so I copy the whole thing every so often if I know I'm going to go looking for things elsewhere or I put up a small WordPad or Notepad screen to play in while I get it right (or sometimes even post it and then edit the post knowing the "bulk" of it is safe). And I try to convince myself, when I do wipe it out, that it was "meant to be" and that I am glad I didn't post that particular post, that I was too wordy or something :-)

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
