so noone knows of any open scource HTML programs?
what about websites that you all join that allow you to format your own page? myspace for example, have you seen any good profiles i could go visit and ask them myself for the code? i can work with that, i will still have to type the Css code myself but it will give me the basic layout codes. if you dont want to post them here you can send me a pm to my myspace account http://www.myspace.com/spraxe |

yes i am currently building my own webpage, of the open source HTML out there they All have targeted advertising software code in them, i want to build a site that can not be infiltrated by popups or advertising of any type unless i allow it myself,
has for the basic layouts i have buckets load of HTML code i have already backwards enginered to remove what i dont want, but it is not that simple, i need the Css code also, Css is the font, colour, layout styles ect and is completly independant of the HTML code, and is like rocking horse poo to get hold of |

I typed in:
html tutorial css into Google and found quite a few websites that offer free information on how to write HTML and CSS. Both code is readily available by looking at the source of any website. (CSS is not "protected," you can read it just like the HTML). You can edit HTML in any text editor, like Notepad or Wordpad. You don't need a specific program to write HTML or CSS. Typing in: free html editor into Google finds: http://www.thefreecountry.com/webmas...leditors.shtml Hope this helps.

thanks doc, i have been experimenting quite a lot on differant layouts, i dont want to publish it til i have all my ducks in a row, java at the mo is throwing me a loop.
i am using wordpad to save the html and css codes i find that interest me, but in regards to the css coding most of them online have the string link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="web2.css" / i purposly deleted the first and last <> so the code could be seen (this is my own css code link) and if i want to use there css code i have to put up with the unwanted links writen into the code of which i cant access or change, is there a way around this? since i started this thread i have visited numerous sites looking for the codes for the layout i require, i learned basic html and css coding in just a few days to attain my goal, just basic java to go and i will have cracked it lol |
