On the profile page, what does the plus (+) and asterisk (*) symbols by a person's name in the Recent Visitors list mean?

The plus sign means they're your PC friends. I don't remember ever seeing an asterisk but if I were guessing, I'd check out "unfriended contacts" first as a possibility.
----------------- Oops! I just tried it out. Unfriended contacts show up with a plus sign exactly the same way as friends, and I still have no idea what an asterisk would mean. |

Lynn - does the asterisk show up next to your own name?
Just asking, because I've only ever seen an asterisk next to *my* own name, and I kind of assumed it signified that I was 'invisible' on the boards - meaning that other's can't tell when I'm online. (Sometimes I wish I could make myself invisible IRL too) But Ive never seen an asterisk next to anyone else's name. If it DOES signify invisibility, it makes sense that I wouldn't see it next to anyone else's name, because I wouldn't be able to see their name, because they are invisible. |

   Thanks for your responses, Fool Zero and darkrunner. After doing some experimenting with another member on at the same time as me I have figured out that the "+" symbol by the names of Recent Visitors to my profile page denotes those who are either Friends or Contacts, and the "*" symbol after my name wherever I am on the site does indeed denote "invisibility," or what I refer to as "stealth mode"  , a moot point actually now that I am emerging from hibernation. See y'all around the Forums!

Thanks for your experimenting, Lynn and darkrunner. I tried "stealth mode" myself and sure enough, got an asterisk next to my username in the Who's Online list.
I also noticed a note at the bottom of that page: + User is on your contact listThe note didn't mention asterisks, whether I was in stealth mode at the time or not. Glad you're back, Lynn. See you around the forums!
