Hi everyone!
I haven't been around for awhile so maybe I'm missing something here...but when I respond to a post, under the "Post Icon" group I don't see any, just blank circles. Likewise with the smilies...nothing shows up under the Instant Smilies or the More Smilies. Thank you for any help on my "Icon Quest"

Are you seeing our avatars and siggys with pictures ok? I was first thinking it might be that your quality of computer screen viewing might be set too low... but now I dunno

I can see sigs but no avatars. Weird! Actually, I can see my own avatar, but no one else's.

There is a setting in your profile to control whether Signatures and Avatars are visible.
I wish I could turn OFF the smilies! If you figure it out, let me know so that I can break mine! I would rather see a text-based version of PC, and choose to enable the smilies on demand, rather than have them blinking at me all the time.

ah ha! I was just thinking (look out!) But need help... isn't there a setting for such things to allow emoticons to work? grr seems to me I had a problem with this when I came on... but not sure if I didn't see them or they did't move... but it was in the viewing settings under advanced...for the computer... are these the activex files?
 sorry.

Ah-HA!!!! The mystery is solved! And it was Sky's comment - it was in the viewing settings under advanced...for the computer that turned the light bulb on.
I use Firefox as my primary browser, but there are a few things (such as some graphics and sounds) that are quirky in it. I opened the site with IE and, voila!! No problem at all! Thank you so much, Sky, LMo, and Petunia for your help and adding some humor for the day.  Good to see you all...off to check out this new moods thing!
