See if that worked. Would it be against the rules to use this code for spoiler alerts?
This works on Tapatalk, whereas the trigger doesn't. So i think it's actuslly better in a way, but having it called "Spoiler" makes things confusing. As for using it for actual spoilers, I don't know if it's allowed to be used in the reading or general talk sub forums which are the only places I personally believe it would be appropriate

Couldn't [spoiler] just be reparsed to [(trigger)] - TBH I was assuming that internally [(trigger)] was being parsed to [spoiler] anyway

How are we to know what these trigger codes are? I guess I'm still a little lost. I can appreciate the need and desire not to expose struggling people to something that will make things worse but how are we to know what the 'triggers' are? maybe if I was reading this earlier in the day I would figure it out but my brain is now running nearly on empty so a clue to point me in the right direction would be just the ticket i think. Thanks.

All of those symbols and stuff trigger my latent dyslexia ADD. It is similar to what happens to me when I open the instructions contained in a box that says SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. My eyes roll to the back of my head - if lucky I won't start frothing at the mouth. I'm being facetious, sort of, about the effect ASSEMBLY DIRECTIONS have on me but they might as well be written in egyptian hyroglyphics for me. Back in the old days if I looked helpless long enough and the box was left in the middle of the floor long enough someone would take pity on me and put it together, usually in 10 minutes or less without even glancing at the directions. A humbling experience.

I don't know what Tapatalk is. I don't have a smart phone or computer.

I tried replacing "trigger" with "spoiler" in a social group, but it doesn't work. I guess I could use the trigger code, with "spoiler" written on top of it. It would be obvious it's a spoiler, given the context.

And yes, I would only use it to refer to "spoilers" for movies, TV or books of course.

I tried to use the new trigger code and it didn't work for me. Any ideas?
I used (trigger) Put triggering content here.
(/trigger) and change the middle part to what I wanted to say. But it didn't work.

Use brackets [ ] instead of parens ( )
