Yet they can post on my wall? Why is that. I don't know. I feel very paranoid and I always end up clicking the "show message" button because I have no self-control.

Yup, it's just the way they designed it. Unfortunately, it's not easy to fix since your profile page is not the same as a thread... sorry.

Under 'Edit Options' you can limit visitor messages to those on your friends list only.

Steiner of Thule, I found this out the same way you did. Someone I had on ignore posted to my visitor page. Freaked me out something fierce. I understand that it's the way the system works, but I still wish ignore meant completely blocking a person.

If I remember correctly, it's been awhile since it happened to me, you can ask a mod/admin to remove the message.
Thanks for this!

Yes I think so. Ignoring only means you won't see their posts unless someone quotes it.

yes putting someone on ignore protects you from being triggered by anything they post but does not stop the other person from having full access of the site, including reading any posts.

if there is something you dont want others to read (ie other psych central members or anyone who is not registered as a member Basically the whole world) you can contact a moderator and they can help you with the situation by editing the post or by removing/deleting the post if it can still be deleted.

A rule I set for me is that if its too private for the whole world to see then its too private for me to post on psych central ( or anywhere on the internet) due to anyone in the whole world can google psych central and read the boards with out logging in\registering. (to see what the whole world sees that you have posted log out then with out logging back in come back to psych central and read. that will give you a good idea of how to reassess what you want to post about yourself, your life, your problems.
Thanks for this!

When I google my name it's a lot of links about Rudolph Steiner and the Thule society lol. Which everyone likes to ask me about and question if I am a nazi fanboy or something. Which I'm not.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
