ok, i have adobe photodeluxe software, which i've had forever and haven't bought newer or updated one since. now it's so old that it's having glitches, but it's still useful to me. lol. now, there's plenty of photo editing softwares out there. they are very expensive and i'm probably way behind in learning a new software. i cannot figure out which one i want. do you have any suggestions to which software is the best (and hopefully, user friendly)? i would appreciate any ideas, as i work with photos a lot, since i'm an amateur in photography. i love photography, so i would like a good software for editing photos (and using special effects, if i want to). thanks in advance.

I like my ulead photo express and also my arcsoft photo studio. I have another new one, phototag but it doesn't do much editing.
