Its a "damned if they do and damned if they don't" situation though i think
if they took the gif things away again completely (which sounds like the only way they could prevent the not forum friendly gifs from getting used), they'd get complaints If they leave them, they get complaints so idk what the answer would be to stop them from getting any complaints at all apart from the obvious, which is what I've known powertripping mods/admins do somewhere else - ban everyone who says anything about the new features willowtigger hide under here now  before she gets dragged out for her forum hiding place
