I just have the ads at the bottom of the page, but they are very distracting and you close one ad, another pops up. I don't know if it's worse for me with ADHD but all the flashing and stuff is hard, and sometimes it will cover the post I am typing at the bottom of the page. And it is still slowing my page loading

I see nothing that looks remotely like an advertisement. I'm using Vivaldi on Windows 10.

I didn’t see ads up until the last couple of days and now they’ve appeared, quite distracting. I click them shut but another one reappears as soon as the next page loads.
Thanks for this!

Just to add I am a Premier Poobah member so looks like those members are getting ads now.

I just logged on with DuckDuckGo and the ads aren’t there so it seems like it’s an effective Ad blocker. I was using Safari before.
Thanks for this!

I didn’t know browsers make a difference but I’m probably not online enough to notice. Personally I don’t see any differences between browsers no matter what site I visit. People tell me to use this browser over the other ones but I see nothing different.

As far as this site, 90% of the time I use my phone to get online and just use Safari, the default or native browser. At the library I use Chrome out of habit because they didn’t have others at the time. Now they added Firefox and Edge.

I have Firefox on my phone now to try it sometime. But I don’t like change so it’d be hard to. An acquaintance tells me to use Firefox because Google spies on you. Then another person told me everyone spies on everyone else.

As for ads I get one on the bottom. Not as distracting as the middle of the page. I think I see them on Chrome too. I’ve found it’s better to scroll past ads rather than closing them. As you say more will pop up. I do this on any site as everyone has ads. Unless it blocks something I scroll by. I hate the video ads that automatically start blasting their pitch to me. Startling and I hate animated ones too.

I know At this point this thread’s almost two months Inactive but I keep getting a Roundup ad that fills up the whole screen and if on mobile it’s not possible to use the site without closing out and getting back.

This is what the ad/ page looks like

Thanks… that’s the specific kind of information we need in order to take any kind of action to have the ad removed from displaying on the site. We’ll work on it next week.

I've just noticed in the last week or so that I'm getting ads displayed mid thread, like there will be 2 or 3 posts then a large ad that I need to scroll past. It's quite distracting. I'm fine with the banner ad at the bottom of the screen - that doesn't bother me, but mid thread, yeah that's annoying.

I’m noticing that this morning. I haven’t seen it for months at least. Ads at the bottom aren’t disruptive but they are in the middle of a thread for me now. Hard enough on a tiny screen to navigate.

Mid post ads are annoying. I find all ads irrelevant.

We're looking into it. Premier Poohbah (supporters) members should not be seeing that ad group, and it just started appearing a few days ago with no changes on our end...

I have a premiere poohbah badge on my box but I’m getting the mid post ads. There’s one after the first post on the page and one after the second post on the page. They are always changing size so the field jumps around. I notice less posting since this started.

For me it’s after the second and fourth posts. It impacts the size of the thread, the width I mean. It’s uneven and shifts, especially hard on a tiny screen.
