Progress can be slow but every step, no matter how small, helps.

I often relate to that statement as a recently retired Marine Corp officer . After the IED blew us up uts has been a 3 your journey trying to heal physically and mentally
I just wish they could find a lotion or fairy fist that would relieve right now
Oh I totally agree. Seems like it came on so quick but is lasting forever and a day. If you find that lotion let me know

Yes, Trace ... Thanks for asking ... It all kinda fell through!

However, all is not lost!

I've gathered some important data and am now working on making those adjustments so that I can improve my odds the next go round!

I hoped to have it all accomplished by June or July, but in reality it's most likely not going to be doable for the next 12-15 months.

I am going to continue striving though, because ...

Pfailure Is Not An Option!

Sorry it didn't go as planned. Glad to see you have such a good attitude about it. Sometimes making such big moves does require a lot of planning and prep work. Just keep your eye on the prize Glad you are okay, had not heard from you in a while and just wanted to make sure you were okay.
You know they say there's a reason for everything, and that with each bad thing that happens you need to find at least one good thing out of that to make note of. Example I can't move right now-bad.....I can save money until I can move and afford something I really like- good I know that's sometimes easier said than done.

Just respond back once you feel comfortable, okay? There's no hurry, we are here for you and no one will pressure you to talk. Welcome to PC and the forums though

I've always felt this too, thanks for posting this... at least here we don't abuse others with this sort of incomprehension and violent stupidity (I've faced this from the "medical profession" and "family" irl - I mentioned something like this to a "therapist" years ago and he simply ... and oh so supportively said "that's ridiculous"

These "people" have added to and "strengthened" my punitive inner critic....(I thought medics were supposed to help us, I'm so freakin stupid ) I have not been able to silence this although rationally I know it's abusive garbage

I don't trust the medical profession

I hope this doesn't trigger, this picture summed up how I've been feeling

Complex PTSD ...

It's so refreshing to see such determination to make a change in someone's life. Yes, the time will go by faster than you think and you are very smart to get things in place before you move. Way to go!!!!!!

I have some questions for you though. Do you live in the USA? Are you married? The reason I ask is if you do you need to plan cautiously. Anything obtained while still legally married he would have rights to half of. Hope this is not your situation though.

Morning' Trace14 ... Hope you're doing well today!

Sorry for the delay in replying ...

This is not my situation, but I'm still proceeding with caution because I don't want to end up in a worse situation than I'm already in while trying to work my way out of it!
