Hi everyone,

wouldn't it be a good idea if we share our self help books, esp those that had big impact on our growth.

If anyone interested, I happen to have a goodread account, all my books are there!!

What's "Good Read" about? What books have you found to be the most helpful?

Goodreads is a online website for books basically, you get reviews, insights, and other related books, just like Amazon but more directed towards books.

https://www.goodreads.com/

My favorite list of books so far are:

1- Pete Walker's books. I read and re-read them continually, to make all the knowledge instantly accessible to me.

2- John Bradshaw's books. Pete Walker's methods of psychotherapy are based actually on John Bradshaw's ones. The movement of healing internalized shame was actually got into limelight because of the incredible work of John Bradshaw.

3- Gershen Kaufman books. He has two indispensable books about shame, Shame the power of Caring and The Psychology of shame. John Bradshaw's work actually was based on Gershen Kaufman.

4- Most of the books Pete Walker recommend at the end of his CPTSD book.

5- Beverly Engel. Healing your emotional self, and it wasn't your fault are excellent in quieting your inner critic.

6- Nathaniel Brandon. in how to raise your self esteem.

7- a bunch of other ones, I haven't read yet.

I thought there was a place on PC to buy books. That if you bought them at Amazon through PC that PC would get a portion. Other sites do this to help fund them.

I think you mean Amazon Kindle.

https://www.amazon.com/Kindle-eBooks...node=154606011

you purchase a copy of the book from kindle store, and you can download it anywhere on your devices that has your amazon account, kindle, pc, laptop, mobile phone , tablet, etc.

On PC download the kindle software for windows, and login with your Amazon account and you can see all your purchase there, and start reading them.

You can download the software from this link

https://www.amazon.com/gp/kindle/pc/download
Thanks for this!

You might be right. I'm not up to date with all the technology stuff out there. Thanks for clearing that up though
