I had an amazing cry session last night. Has anyone ever had that? I was with a small group of people that I trust...and somehow some sensitive topics came up and I shared things that brought me to tears---that were very emotional. It was like this wall that had been up for a long time finally broke....and all of these tears and emotions came pouring out.
I'm slightly embarrassed about it. I mean, who likes to cry uncontrollably in front of other people? And then even after I left the gathering...on my way home and when I got home I was still crying. But at least I was feeling something. Half of the time lately I seem to go through my life completely numbed out. So last night---I was able to actually feel some of that pain. Thanks for listening. |

Good job - tears can be healing and provide relief. Sometimes it is so hard to let them out, but I believe the end result is worth it.

I don't even like to get slighty teary-eyed in public, much less crying uncontrollaby, so I totally know how you feel. Congrats!
