I am sorry if I often anyone or annoy anyone.
I don’t really know what I expect by posting here. All I know is or been told that I have false self beliefs that are holding me back and what I think is the cause of all my problems.
However how negative or not so called true these thoughts are, I really do think there an acceptable feeling of how I am as a person and how I really feel and I don’t think this can be change as I have reasoning behind what I think and how I feel.
My problem is I don’t honestly see myself ever sorting my life out and getting out of the way of others and not just being a waste in life. So all I do is really lock myself in my room hoping weirdly that I might get another job and I can just fade quietly back into society and obsess over trying to keep that job and because if I had a job I am doing nothing wrong. Of course I think where I went wrong before is I let what I felt show too much to many people and cut myself short of just finding a place in life.

Hi, I dislike hearing someone think that there is no place in life for them. Every living person is here for a reason. Not one of self torture, but roads to successful being. You have heard the expression I'm sure about
self-fullfilling prophesy. I don't know why you feel as you do; but seeing
a T. might be of some help to you.

When you sabotage yourself with these negative ideas; yes your belief system needs help. Whether you have what you feel are logical and practical thoughts about what you believe about yourself, I believe there are sides of the coin you have not seen that are more in positive and logical basis. I don't know who said this but it's a good thought for you;
"I've seen the enemy, it is me!" Hugs, bj

Thank you for your reply and comments.
Everyone one on here has been kind and opened minded and spent time being helpful towards me. Sorry to not convey that back.
I have had 20 sessions of psychotherapy 2009
2 sessions this month of CBT however I didn't like the T. and weirdly I got a call from place were I go saying he will be out for work for some time and they need to find me another T. sorry for Interruption.
I haven't been able to post more about why I am self damaging through thoughts as people on here have been kind and willing. However I probably will later and unintentionally tread on some toes sorry.

Hey there,
When I saw the phrase "I have been told I have false beliefs.." I immediately saw red!!! No one should be told their beliefs are "false," it's extremely invalidating. Even if you recognize that the negative thoughts are creating difficulties for you, it's no one's right to tell you they are "false," or "true," "right," or "wrong." No wonder you didn't like the T you had during CBT. I am in the field, and while CBT has a lot of research behind it and can do wonders for people, it's also up to how it's delivered by the T and ultimately the relationship between the T and the patient that determines how much it helps. I am glad people here have been supportive of you! I hope that you get set up with a better T that is a more suitable match for you. Hang in there!

CBT worked wonders for me as Teal mentioned in her/his post. It flowed for me and was easily assimilated for me....not a lot of hocus-pocus, but good practical reasoning as to how we develope stereotyping and habitual ways of thinking. Luckily I had/have a great psychologist/therapist.

Stop appologizing, you have every right to learn how to find your way to experiencing better self esteem as well as overcoming your personal difficulties in your abilities to interact with others. You CAN learn and SHOULD give yourself PERMISSION to learn to overcome.

You can learn to do it!

Thank you for your reply and comments. I think then I best when see new T go in with an open mind about CBT and give it a chance. Also your right people here are very supportive and I am grateful for that.
