My boyfriend and I just got in a HUGE fight because I bottle up my emotions about anything and everything. I used to not be like this, but now because I do not know how to handle the stress and things going on in my life it has started to affect our relationship. Do you recommend going to counseling or should I do journal writing? I am at a lost as I do not want to lose him but that will happen if I can't fix this.

Therapy surely wouldn't hurt as you would learn some coping SKILLS. Then you could use them throughout the rest of your lifetime. That's the beauty of therapy. It's not just for the issue at hand. It's for anything that could come up for the rest of your life. You learn skills of coping and handling issues & emotions.
I would definitely try therapy so you're not spending the rest of your life stuffing your emotions and hiding from life the rest of your days. God bless and take care! Hugs, Lee |

I do te same thing because it usually makes me feel worse talking to him because he doesn't validate my feelings. He usually minimizes them and makes me feel.worse. Journaling has helped me to work on my self esteem so I can voice mt emotions better. Good Luck
