One of my friends just doesn't know when to back off - in fact he fuels the fire more - thinking it's funny. Many times he is funny but I don't think he's self aware enough to know when he's fueling a fire. It gets too bad and then there is a rift. Need to talk with him. I don't know if he'll hear me.

I find often that sending someone an email often works better than in person. You can make sure you word what you are saying just right, read, then re-read things before you send them. And you could have a friend or your therapist look over the note before you send it to make sure you are making your point without upsetting the other person.
