I have been feeling like **** for a really long time and anything that everyone says it will be ok just keep trying. But they have been saying that for a while and it hasn't gotten any better if anything its gotten worse. I just want to feel happy again and no just depressed and sad all the time no matter what happens. PLEASE give me any suggestions you have about being happy and not feeling like this anymore I would really appreciate it.

What have you tried so far to feel better?

i think bandit has hit on it, it's time for you to stand up and take charge,, stop asking for advice which doesn't work, and try this and that,,, accept small improvements and follow them up~

there is a new Support Chat on tuesday evenings (check your calendar for the time) on Positive Options, on activities one can use to help improve emotions... i hope you can join us,, the past 2 weeks activities are posted in the "Coping with Emotions" forum.

best wishes~
Gus

Happieness doesn't come in the mail.
Happiness is not something someone can give you.
It can't be bought or sold as a product.
Maybe right now you aren't able to access it.
It is a chemical response in your brain based on how you feel in your environment.
For people who have suffered a lot, sometimes happiness bring about anxiety, fear, and is certainly not comfortable. Try to work on balancing emotions.
There are many tools to manage and therapy may be needed, but you can overcome this.
Hugs,
Happiedasiy

Others can't make you feel good. It is up to you. What are you doing to keep yourself feeling bad?

“Happiness is the absence of the striving for happiness.” - Zhuangzi

I've often guilted myself into sadness for not being happy. When I settled on just not being unhappy about things, I became content. On days I remember being content is just dandy, I was a little happier.

Sadness can be caused by letting go of old feelings and ways of behaving. It will pass in time. Having fun is new to you, and taking care of yourself is also new to you. Next stop? : Joy
