I have been feeling very angry recently and it's difficult to deal with. I don't express it outwardly but I will ruminate alot and feel very bitter.
I would really appreciate some tips or advice to manage the anger, if anyone has any? |

I find that music helps a lot. Classical mostly. I find Chopin Nocturne op 9 no 2 rather relaxing, it helps to quell anger.

Hi Eleny, I usually silently count the breaths 1 on the inhale, 1 on the exhale, 2 on the inhale 2 on the exhale, breathing naturally and continuing to silently count breaths up to 10 then begin at 1 again.

Hi Eleny. I have certainly had my share of anger over the last 3 years. i can say that when i feel angry i try not to react in an outburst and say or do something i would later regret. i place my anger and use it as a motivator, to houseclean or do stuff that i feel too lazy to do. i can clean the house in a full hour when "motivate", or clean out the car, or the garage, or go to the dump. those chores can get done and it dissipates the anger. the adrenalin rush gives you the energy to get things done. this is how i deal with it. or i turn on the radio and dance the anger out of my system. i hope that helps. tc

Thank you for the responses and helpful advice!
For some reason I feel ashamed to admit I feel angry, like it's wrong or I'm a bad person. It's tough. |
