What can one do when they are stuck with a problem they cannot talk to anyone about ?
I am emotionally suffering a lot, for the past few days, and I know I can't talk to anyone about it. My chest feels all constricted and I am having very strong bad urges to do harm to myself. |

Hello smartieparty: Well... the Skeezyks has a lot of stuff he can never talk about. But in my case it's mostly stuff that happened many years ago.
![]() ![]() ![]() I guess I'm not clear with regard to if this is something that happened to you, or if it is something you're going to need to do that you don't know how to handle. If it's something that happened to you, sometimes writing about things can help... either here on PC or perhaps in a journal. Another option might be calling a mental health hotline if there is something of that nature where you live. You could then talk about it... but anonymously. I've also heard of people doing collages of things that have happened to them. Other than that... physical exertion helps dissipate strong emotions sometimes. If this is a problem you're confronting... something you need to do something about that you don't know how to handle, then again writing about it, or talking about it anonymously may help. But beyond that, figuring out a step-by-step plan for how to address the problem may help you to begin to feel as though you at least have some control over the situation... you're not just waiting for something to happen to you. ![]() I'm sorry this about all that comes to my mind as far as how you might handle whatever it is you are confronting. Perhaps other members, here on PC, will reply with some better suggestions. I wish you well... ![]()

There are Crisis lines available in most areas, I don't know where you are living, but chances are there will be something in your area. These are an option if you are feeling the urge to harm yourself, they can help keep you safe, and you can choose not to tell them anything you don't want to. Please stay safe. ![]() |

Life is a gift, never forget that. Think of people dying right now in a hospital, they'd do anything to have your health. Love yourself and stay happy.

I'm not dying in hospital, but it sure feels as if I am slowly decaying inside and I would do anything to have a healthy person's mental health. |

Today has been very hard but I have taken anxiolytics to ease this horrible feeling I'm experiencing. I have so many thoughts in my head and it is making me tired.
Thank you for asking. ![]() |
