Went to my regular physcian for the self harm injury.the gauze was so stuck to my skin they were going to use a scalpel till he finally got it off without one.its infected and im using all this stuff to treat it though im not the best at knowing what im doing.
I also saw my therapist earlier that day after getting ripped off by bus driver cause one driver charged 25 cents up the other charged fifty cents back.anyway me and my therapist ended up in this stupid argument over the behavior of the staff at the hospital.her response maybe if i stayed out of the er this wouldnt have happened .but i went cause i got tired of hurting myself.i was thinking.then shes like maybe if you copperated they wouldnt talk that way about your parents.which is not the point it was still wrong to say that my parents dont care about me and the other stuff they said.she said i have control over my behavior i tried to explain i often. Feel i dont in ers .but she just debated with me till it seemed petty to do and i gave in. Right at this point ive seen more counseling from my regular doctor than her im in the process of getting a new therapist hopefully this one is not a dud |

Hi,
It's been a few years since I've been hospitalized for any reason, but if this will bring you any comfort, I'll say that it's been my observation from having been hospitalized in the past that it isn't uncommon for those who work at hospitals to say and do things to patients that are hurtful or even downright abusive. There might sometimes be explanations as to why those who work in hospitals sometimes say things that are hurtful toward patients who stay in hospitals, but no explanation can change the fact that telling you that your parents don't care about you or saying other hurtful things to you is the wrong thing to do and is something that nobody deserves to have told to them. I know that it's part of a therapist's job to help their clients understand how the things that they say and do might affect the way that others are toward them, but I don't think that any behavior from you toward the staff of the hospital that you stayed in could justify being so disrespectful toward you as to say that your parents don't care about you. You deserve better than to have had that told to you, as does anyone, and I think it's unfortunate that your therapist didn't seem to have seen things that way. I wish you luck with finding a new therapist who you'll hopefully find to be more understanding and who will otherwise serve you well. |

I would find a new therapist who is understanding. Unfortunately some doctors, medical staff can be jerks. They have no right to judge. I'm glad your regular doctor is supportive.
