If I died today, I wouldn't have friends to attend my funeral, and people say nice things about me. They would say at best we didn't know him well. I know that I wouldn't feel or hear anything then, but the idea of how would my funeral be now makes me feel that I haven't lived my life as a normal person, which makes me feel sad and angry. I don't know one person who has no friends or social life like me. And I mean literally zero friends and no active social life. I know I and only I can change things, but ... this won't happen ... any time soon anyway ...

I'm sorry you are having such a tough time. You're not alone. I'll be your friend. Maybe you could make a game plan to start reaching out to others gradually.

Ahh don't be so sure. When my mom and dad died I was really shocked and surprised at the people that did show up - who didn't even know them well. People who went to grammar school with them; neighbors (that we never talked to), nurses or people in health care that took care of them, people that knew me or my brother. It was really inspiring.

You just don't notice who is taking notice of you or who does quietly appreciate you.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Don't feel alone. I'm sure there are people here who are in the same boat. I too have no friends and no social life. At least we have people at PC who can relate. {hugs}

Funerals are for the living... The Soul will have a unique perspective just after physical 'death'....

I was thinking the same thing the other day, and I know how overwhelming and painful it is to feel this way. I had to list an emergency contact on insurance papers, and I couldn't come up with a single person who would need to be notified if something happened to me. I ended up listing my hairdresser. :/
