I'm in such emotional pain right now that it's making me extremely suicidal. I'm trying to hold on because I don't want to hurt my brother but I keep getting to points multiple times a day where I feel like I can't take any more and I have to kill myself. All I'm advised to do is talk to people and to distract myself but neither of these things are helping me although they used to. I just can't cope with being in emotional pain any more, it is excruciating. I have no idea what to do to get through this. Any suggestions and support would be much appreciated.

You could reach out to your pdoc or tdoc. As badly as you're feeling right now though, is there a mental health facility you can check yourself into? Best wishes.
Thanks for this!

I'm supposed to be seeing my psychiatrist on Friday, I've only met him twice so don't feel able to talk to him before then. My CPN is on holiday and my psychologist doesn't really want me to contact him in between sessions. I'd have to get permission from my psychiatrist to go into hospital and I don't know if he'd agree. If he did he wouldn't let me stay in for a good period of time, only a couple of days, and I don't think that would be enough.

There's nothing in particular going on right now. I've been in and out of hospital for my mental health problems a lot recently and have only managed to get to about 2 months out of hospital before I end up in again and it's nearly been 2 months since my last discharge so maybe that's why things are getting hard. I find I need respite and a lot of support to deal with my emotions. I live on my own and find it hard to make phone calls so I am often not able to talk to anyone.

Keep dedicating yourself to your own healing. Remember healing takes time.
