I'm learning the only way to cope is to let it go. Being I've yet to do this in my life, I'm not sure how. I need to "just let go" like my therapist says. This has been my one consistent thing in life, feeling angry and betrayed. Well, that and suicidal which partly stems from the other two.
I have a psych-mandated mantra I'm supposed to say all the time, but I fail to do such so epically:
I will move on from these thoughts to fully embrace the present.
If you figure out this, help a guy out?
Thanks for this!

SorryShaped, do you ever get frustrated by being told to let it go? I ask because I'm surrounded by people telling me that I need to do the same, and it's starting to make me feel like MORE of a failure, because it seems like such an impossible feat. What's worse is when the word "just" is thrown in. "Just let it go."

Oh, alright, I'll JUST let it go, willy-nilly. No problem!

Sorry, I don't mean to turn this into my own rant.

It does seem impossible, and I may never do so. It does make me a failure, until I do it.
There was a therapist that once said "I think you're using your suicidal intents as a comfortable blanket." Sure it's wrong to hold onto these feelings, but when they've be the only thing you have, what do you cling to? I know that means I have to find new things, but nobody does anything with me any more. I have to do everything by myself. What and how do I find new things?
