Hey I’m new to this website and a couple years back I had a fall and due to this I hit my head and triggered epilepsy , I’ve honestly struggled to come to terms with my emotions and the complexity of going from a normal teenager to one who had to watch what I did all the time and one who was scared off everything . However from my diangnosis I was having severe flashback and nightmares from my fall which split my eye open and i was very lucky to have survived ! I don’t even know if this is right what I’m doing but I hope other people can read this and maybe talk about how to cope with PTSD as I was only recently diagnosed with it and I have to wait 5 months to be seen for CBT

Hello Jaydeamberxoxo: thank you for sharing your concern here on PC. This appears to be your first thread. So... welcome to Psych Central. There's a forum, here on PC, dedicated to the subject of PTSD. Here's a link just in case you haven't already found it:

https://forums.psychcentral.com/post-traumatic-stress/

You may also find the health support forum to be of interest:

https://forums.psychcentral.com/health-support/

And then here's a link to an article by our host Dr. John Grohol, Psy.D., from Psych Central's archives, on the subject of PTSD. The article also provides links to a number of additional articles on the subject:

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.
