Basically: I have come to fear saying I will do something with someone else when invited because I too often talk myself out of going and then feel guilty for good reason. (I just responded positively to invite from a neighbor to go out for food and trivia tonight and I need to work all day to make sure I get out the door...and, not knowing her very well, having begged off once already, I need to GO. I know it is better to go than to sit here but....

Thank You! I did go and I did laugh and eat with 5 other women, all very recently met...glad I got out, am invited to a weekly breakfast with a few if I like, we are all older and ...so far so good. Greatest fear is that they live near me, it is a small community and if "things" don't go well, it would be hard for me to deal with...and I do need solitude. They are all native to the area, I am not. So what---Thanks again. a few tricky moments to keep my mouth shut...though everyone was pretty talky...A success story.

I'm really happy for you,winter4me! You're doing great! I understand why you're struggling with all of this, but I'm glad that you were able to go out and that it was worth it! I can relate to what you wrote here. I'm sure many other people can relate to what you wrote as well, especially here on PC. Still, be proud of yourself for going out! I admire you for that. I have much to learn from you. Sending many hugs to you, winter4me! Keep fighting! You're a strong wonderful person! You can do this! You're awesome! You're strong! You're a warrior! Keep fighting! You're awesome!
