I woke up with chest pain, and after a month of on and off chest pain, I went into urgent care. My vitals were good, passed EKG, did labwork, and I drank this weird concoction that made my mouth numb.

Turns out, it's acid reflux due to all the stress I've been under.

I gotta cut back even more on the coffee, which I rely on and enjoy so much, cut out spicy and fried food, and I got a prescription for an acid reducer.

And I also need to relax more.

Turns out my heart, liver, and kidneys are all healthy, but the chest pain has been really scaring me with all I am going through and preparing for right now.

I am not sure how to relax more, because I'm not a person who likes to sit around. And graduation is around the corner, so there's a lot to do.

I'm just so stressed out...face masks, nail polish and ice cream are all fine and dandy but it's like a bandaid slapped on a major wound. I really need to find ways that will keep me really calm for the long term.

Yikes.

Meditation? Theres lots of apps for it. Maybe practice getting into a calm state will give you a calm baseline you know you can return to at any time.

Phewf you passed the EKG...

But stress is so hard to deal with and can really take its toll.

Sorry you are experiencing so much stress.

Are you exercising? Doing tai-chi or something?

Making a list of what stresses you might help to get it out of your head.

I use InsightTimer guided meditations to help me, but I have medication if it gets too bad.

I also do the "4-7-8 breathing technique" not just for sleep but at least 2-3 times a day to calm down and get centred. You can read more about it by doing an internet search.

Hope you feel better soon...
