I don't get it, why am I around? I try to help other people but I can't seem to help myself. I always feel like I'm nothing but a worthless piece of nothing! No one wants me around and I can't keep any friends cause I end up pushing them away. I can't live like this anymore.

Thank you..... No, I do not have a T, I'm working up the nerve to get one though.
And I have no family, I'm alone and have been for some time. No one would want to listen anyway.
Thanks for this!

Jay, what you say seems familiar. Feel free to ignore the following nosy questions:

Have you tried to help yourself and not been successful, OR have you not found a way or the focus/energy to help yourself?

So...you can make friends, yes? You feel you "push them away." What do you mean?

Rohag,

It's a bit of both of what you said.... I know I need and want the help but I'm afraid of what will happen if I do get a T, and the other problem is I've never in my life been able to stay focused on something for longer then a minute. Even writing this, I find myself more interested in that stupid pen that's just sitting on my desk.

As for friends, I can make them but I always twist what they say to make something a big problem and they never want to talk to me again, that's how I push them away. But I can't stop doing it, it just happens and by the time I realize it... it's to late.
Thanks for this!

muffy,

Thank you for the "nerve" Just need to learn how to use it.

And I've never been checked for that ADD thing. All I know is I was in special education all my life cause they thought I was dumb, but I know I wasn't, it's just I wasn't interested in anything.

I'm sure I don't have Asperger.
Thanks for this!

Some of the smartest ppl in the world other ppl thought they were dumb.
your right you just were not interested. Prolly could be because you already knew it. Or they just had not caught your inner spirit.
to many kids are let go between the cracks.
waving my magic wand for you

Hello again!

Thank you for answering my nosy questions. It's sad and frustrating that no one saw through to the real you and that, so far, people haven't been able to see beyond your poor reserves of focus. I wish you a friend who can.

These are definitely the kinds of things you should tell a T. (Muffy's nerve is good nerve... )

In the meantime, feel free to tell your story and share your thoughts here!

I'm not smart, but I know I wasn't dumb either.

And I'll never have any real friends because no one ever understands me.
Thanks for this!

Hi Jay I hope you give PC and the people here a chance. I've found some great friends here. And it helps me in real life. It's good practice for IRL. Keep posting and participating. People here will be supportive and it sounds like some of us understand you, do feel that? I sure felt like you understood me in another post, and I thank you for that.

and if that makes you feel better feel free.
But keep it to yourself please, don't tell me.
And let's all respect each other's feelings.
With kindness, support and "sweet dreamings."
Thanks for this!
