I am feeling betterr today. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate depression a 5. I felt like moving around my apartment this morning. I actually cleaned up my ktichen and put something in the crock pot for supper. I haven't felt like cooking or eating all week.

I haven't been outside all week either. I have to go out tomorow tto get some groceries. The thought is causing a lttle bit of stress. I still have no desire to socialize.

But I seem to be getting better. I wish to thank everyone who responded to my first note. I had a bad week. But I survived and I will get better.

John,

M-m-m crock pot meals are some of my favourites. Glad you were able to get a bit of cleaning done too... okay, I'll get up a clean mine too.

"But I seem to be getting better"

Some progress is better than none. It all does seem to take the magic of 'time', doesn't it?

Sending best wishes for a little more progress today, if possible.

Hunny

Glad to hear this John, I am happy for you. I think your accomplishments are BIG ones! Cleaning and cooking when I am depressed are like running a marathon. So good for you. For me, that I survived another day, another week was always a good news/bad news kind of thing. I always try to take the bad depression times ONE DAY AT A TIME. Or one hour if need be. Now that you know you can do it, you simply (but not easily) keep doing it. Eventually the depression lifts and you are feeling like yourself again, and start enjoying the things you used to enjoy.
