Whenever I am severely depressed I start to feel that my life has no meaning. I think my situation is hopeless and will not get any better. I will also hyave a termendous amount of guilt and think I should be punsihed. In shor the world as I know it is coming to an end.

This is depression speaking. But even in my deapest and darkaest fits of dispair I can think of at least one positive thing going on in my lfie. I try to write it down. Soon I can think of several more positives I also keep a reocrd of what I call Positives.

They help me realize that life is not so bad. Most people, no matteer how bad the situation they might be in, can find at least one or two positive things in their lives. Think aboout it and hold on to these thoughts. They can help you find your way back/ At least they can help you through very dark times.

Anyway, that is what I do when I am going thyrough severe depression. It helps challenges the irrational thoughts that contribute to the depressed feelings.

Thiis is just a suggestion.

Cool.

Sometimes I not only write them down, but put them on stickies and attach the stickie to my bathroom mirror where I know I will be reminded of it daily, if not more than once a day.

It's a very good suggestion. Thank you John.
