I generally wanted to avoid posts like this and I kind of went back and forth between wanting to post or not but

I'm just feeling so horribly depressed right now I just feel like shutting down.
Thanks for this!

Hi, Kaika! Glad to hear your mood is lifting. May it continue to rise, knowing many who hold you dear look on in hope.

I just realized I probably have an appointment with my T in the next couple of days if I remember correctly, and I have neither really done anything nor really written anything in my journal, which leaves more open time (I usually like to fill as much time as possible with every day stuff, and then my journal, and that generally takes up most of the time.) Gah, I get the feeling this is going to be awkward... :/

today I just decided to hang out in my room as much as possible and it did actually help my mood since my depression was triggered by stress related stuff. Though tomorrow I probably won't isolate myself lest my brother and dad pitch a fit
Thanks for this!

I understand the feeling of isolating and shutting down. I have been shutting down for days now. So, I am sorry you are feeling this way. But I am so glad you posted and shared this with us. For being alone with those feelings is so hard and not easy. Know we are always here for you kaika.

I hope you do see your t soon. Maybe together you can figure this out. But I am so glad you reached out and posted. In that, you set depression back a notch, even though it may not feel like it. You took a step to help yourself and for that you need to pat yourself on the back.

Sometimes we do not fully understand what it is that has us so down, but in realizing something is there, we can start to work on it. Just remember to take one minute--one second at a time and live in the moment. For if you get too far ahead, it causes anxiety and fear. For we know not what the future holds, but we have right now to be in.

Know we are right here and listening. I am glad you posted and reached out. Thank you for trusting us enough to push that send button. Sometimes it is hard to reach out but that is when we need to the most.

Know we care and are here for you. Take care of you and do something kind for yourself. You deserve it. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling and doing.

Sending you gentle hugs and loving thoughts.

This is the place for posts like yours. We all come here to express such feelings. We welcome your post, and, as you can see, a great many of us know the feelings you are describing. I'm glad that you were feeling a bit better by the time of your second post above. At least you are crawling up out of the hole at times. May your climb continue into the bright of day!

Who knows maybe this "free time" in therapy will bring some enlightenment. Tell us how it goes (if you feel comfortable doing that).
Hoping you are continuing to feel better. Are you?

hmmm apparently it's just a puppy thing, but I want to ask my step-sister anyways because she has a lot of experience with the same issues with her own dog (the main difference is at this point my step-sister's dog is aggressive towards strangers and mine pretty much is a friend to all living things)

but uh oh my step dad is in one of his self-righteous moods so I better stay away, he really doesn't give a **** if he triggers me anymore
Thanks for this!

I know all about self-righteous, unfeeling step fathers, who don't give a **** about your feelings. I feel for you. I really do.

How are you feeling today?
