I sleep all the time and yet I am still tired. Latley I am only awake for about 5 hours a day. I cant seem to get the energy that I need. My husband is getting so resentful towards me. I don't know how to explain to him why I am so tired. Does anyone have any advice about how I can have more energy. I mean I am so tired that I have found myself falling asleep while driving and now I seldom drive.

When was the last time you had a physical? Sometimes, a dose of vitamin B-12 helps the energy level.
If something physical does not cause or contribute to your tiredness, have you considered talking to psychiatrist to see if a medication might help? As you undoubtedly are aware and sashasiegel has pointed out, tiredness and a lack of energy are symptoms of depression. I am sorry your husband does not seem to understand that depression is an illness. Please consider taking action to help yourself. Good luck. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had problems with sleeping all the time too (I still do when the depression's bad). I've found that it helps to put my alarm clock somewhere far enough away that I have to physically get out of bed to turn it off. Fresh air has always helped too, even if all I can manage is sitting on my front step. Are you on medication of any kind, whether for depression, a cold, pain, etc.? Some medications can make you really sleepy and it can be harder to get up and get going if you're affected. Just a thought. ![]()

when I used to sleep all the time,I didn't realize how much I was missing in my life and how it seemed to my husband and kids. they are often my motivation for getting help. In my opinion, there is no doubt that you probably need an antidepressant. this is my experience. God bless you and keep you and deliver you from this mess. lisa
