My friends, I am worried, scared and tired. I must find employment, I must endure, I must "snap out of it". All these words spoken to me by people who are ignorant of the everyday hell we all must endure. Are they right? In reality, sure they are! Nothing is free. I am homeless, and yes, I need a job. I realize this more than anyone. Am I to blame for my current situation? How can I be when every day life for me is plunging down to deep an dark places. Am I unconsciously sabotaging myself? How come I feel so guilty and ashamed about my depression? How can I pursue a life of normalcy when I don't know how to be normal? I function on such an erratic level, I find it very difficult to concentrate on what must be accomplished. My current meds are ineffective, my sanity is razor thin. Thanks for reading and I wish all of you the best.

It'll be okay, just calm down.;-) they are not really right because they just don't understand your situation. This is a MEDICAL condition! You did not CHOOSE this! It is never your fault, trust me.;-) and first of all: no one is normal. Ever. So don't you dare let anyone tell you that;-) maybe you should find a doctor? They can't refuse if you ask for help.;-) finding an online therapist helped me so much. It's free, and I can vent as much as I please on it.;-)

let me know if you need anything.;-) pm anytime!

Hang in there! I know you can do this!
Thanks for this!

Do you have a pdoc that you can discuss your medication with? Perhaps you need different medication(s) in order to help you feel better. Also, are you currently in therapy? Therapy can be very beneficial towards recovery.

If you are not feeling well enough to work, by the way, applying for disability is always an option until you can get back on your feet and find employment. I'm currently in this situation.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

MrHomerCat,

It would awfully tough for me NOT to be depressed if I were in your shoes. Heck, when I think about the world, economy, health, Earth, etc I just become overwhelmed by great feelings of sadness and inner turmoil. Times are SO hard nowadays. Negativity everywhere...you know what I mean?

Calling your doctor, and making an appointment would be a decent start. The medications aren't working on making life look a little better right now. Are there any resources in the metro area that would be able to help? Salvation Army can be terrific. Hopefully, your doctor can be much more specific on what resources are available in your area.

I hope that things improve for you very, very soon. You are in my thoughts!

You're doing really well in a very difficult situation. Coping is a chore in itself and there are some out there who don't come close to coping.

It is hell and it is hard; it is grossly unfair but even with meds there isn't much we can do about it...except continue the struggle.

We're behind you supporting you and letting you know you aren't alone even though you feel lost and lonely in the fight, as all of us do from time to time; just remember that we are here for you,

Rhiannon
